His story
Who is Wim Beelen?
Wim Beelen made his name in demolition, recycling and enterprise. Behind the big decisions and business highlights there are also sacrifices, doubts and life lessons.
He grew up in a childhood that was not always safe and carefree. That is exactly why he wants to give something back: a place where children can play, explore and simply be children. That is how Spelen bij Beelen came about, through Larendael, Wim’s investment group that builds sustainable and innovative projects from the ground up.

The book
Van sloper tot inspirator
The book, which Wim wrote with Martin Appelo, looks at the choices and events that shaped his life: building, breaking, falling, getting up and passing it on. It is written for anyone who still wants to grow. The third edition is available online and in all Bruna shops, and the proceeds help children in need.
